Available in 4x2 AT, 4x4 MT and 4x4 AT models, the 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser is powered by a 4.0-Liter V6 DOHC 24-Valve engine with Dual Independent Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) that generates 260 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. Automatic models feature a 5-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with intelligence, while manual models offer 6-speed manual (full-time 4WD only with manual). Towing capacity maxes out at a hefty 5,000 pounds with every model. Fuel economy varies between automatic models (17 city / 20 highway) and manual models (15 city / 18 highway). All FJ Cruiser models have an emissions rating of LEV-II. Optional TRD and TT packages offer even more customization and versatility.

2012 TOYOTA FJ CRUISER STANDARD & OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT
All standard FJ Cruisers come equipped with multi-reflector halogen headlamps with auto-off feature, two full doors and two access doors, lift-up glass hatch and skid plates on the engine/front suspension, fuel tank and transfer case (transfer case on 4x4 models only). Additional options for added functionality include power outside mirrors with illuminated markers, 17-in. alloy wheels with P265/70R17 tires or 16-in. 6-spoke alloy wheels with LT265/75R16 tires, and an optional exterior spare tire cover.
With a rugged, versatile and easy-to-clean interior, the FJ Cruiser can comfortably handle almost anything Mother Nature can dish out with its water-resistant fabric-trimmed front and rear seats, 8-way adjustable driver's seat with armrest, and 4-way adjustable front passenger seat with seatback pocket. Rear seats feature 60/40 split fold-down tumble with removable bottom cushions and folding headrests on outboard seats, and all models come equipped with heavy-duty all-weather flooring and rear decks.
